Club Officer Duties

President:

  1. Leads the club.
  2. Promotes excellence.
  3. Presides over club meetings.
  4. Chairs Executive Committee and conducts Club business.
  5. Understands and used the distinguished club plan.
  6. Attends District training sessions.
  7. Prepares and submits semiannual reports to Toastmasters International.
  8. Coaches other executives as required.
  9. Attends and votes at Area and District Council meetings.
  10. Votes at Regional and International meetings.

VP of Education:

  1. Plans dynamic Club meetings.
  2. Promotes the Toastmasters International education program.
  3. Orients new members to Toastmasters International and the club.
  4. Helps all members become effective evaluators.
  5. Arranges for Speechcraft and other S/L programs.
  6. Arranges for Youth Leadership Programs.
  7. Encourages member to participate in all Toastmaster International activities.
  8. Administers speech contest.
  9. Organizes a Speakers Bureau.
  10. Chairs the education committee.
  11. Attends and participates in the Executive Committee.
  12. Presides in the absence of the President.
  13. Attends and votes at Area and District Council.
  14. Votes at Regional and International meetings.

VP Membership:

  1. Builds Club membership.
  2. Increases membership satisfaction.
  3. Prepares the Semiannual Membership Report.
  4. Chairs the Membership Committee.
  5. Attends and participates in the Executive Committee.
  6. Attends and votes at Area and District Council.

VP Public Relations:

  1. Creates a Public Relations program.
  2. Prepares publicity materials.
  3. Produces a Club bulletin
  4. Write for company publications.
  5. Chair the Public Relations Committee.
  6. Attends and participates in the Executive Committee.

Secretary:

  1. Maintains accurate member roster.
  2. Records and reads meeting minutes.
  3. Assists with the Semiannual Membership Report.
  4. Reports new officers to Toastmasters International and District Governor.
  5. Prepares and mails orders for Toastmasters International supplies.
  6. Circulates TIPS, Supply Catalog and Toastmaster Magazine.
  7. Keeps the Club Constitution and Bylaws.
  8. Maintains general Club correspondence
  9. Attends and participates in the Executive Committee.

Treasurer:

  1. Prepares the annual budget for the Club.
  2. Provides bank with new signature card.
  3. Notifies each Club member in writing of dues payable.
  4. Collects payable duties and fees.
  5. Issues checks to Toastmasters International for dues.
  6. Pays all bills promptly.
  7. Keeps full and accurate records of all monies.
  8. Presents a monthly financial report.
  9. Submits Club accounts for audit.
  10. Responds to government or tax agency inquiries.
  11. Maintains the Club employer identification number.
  12. Attends and participates in the Executive Committee.

Sergeant at Arms:

  1. Arranges meeting room and equipment.
  2. Greets all guests and members.
  3. Arranges for food services at any meal meeting.
  4. Collects ballots and tallies votes for awards.
  5. Maintains Club's equipment and materials.
  6. Chairs the Social and Reception Committee.
  7. Attends and participates in the Executive Committee.

Past President:

  1. Chairs the Nominating Committee.
  2. Helps with the Distinguished Club Program.
  3. Promotes a Club's efforts to become a Distinguished Club.
  4. Provides guidance and serves as a resource.
