Toastmasters is an educational organization providing communications and leadership training. The Toastmasters program is designed to increase communications skills, improve presentation methods, develop leadership skills.

Research shows that people who can express themselves effectively advance further and faster in their careers than those who have difficulty speaking. If you can't speak with confidence, you may be keeping yourself from achieving your career goals!

Toastmasters can help you to speak up and get ahead. It provides the tools you can use to improve your performance in a variety of business situations such as:

The membership fees are extremely reasonable considering all the benefits you receive.

The new member fee provides all the material to get you started in the educational program. This material includes the Communications and Leadership Manual which provides guidelines for you to prepare your various speeches. There are guidelines for 10 different speeches. As you progress through this program your skill as a speaker increases dramatically. When the manual is completed, you are considered a Competent Toastmaster (CTM). Other manuals you will receive are "Your Speaking Voice", "Gestures: Your Body Speaks" and "How to Evaluate."

Once you have complete the Communications and Leadership Manual and become a Competent Toastmaster (CTM), you will receive 2 advanced manuals of your choice, at no additional cost. There are 14 Advanced manuals to choice from, each containing guidelines for 5 speeches. All advanced manuals may be purchased for $2.50 each.

In addition to all of these learning opportunities, you will increase your leadership skills by conducting meetings as the Toastmaster and performing the other duties that are required to conduct Toastmaster meetings. These tasks along with speaking assignments and assigned on a rotational basis with everyone participating.

Do not become alarmed with all of this. We will not let you "sink or swim." You will be assigned a mentor to assist you in your progression.
